What to Wear to a Beach Wedding

There have been a lot of questions about what to wear to a beach wedding, so I found some helpful information online and put it below. Hope it helps.

If you're still not sure, feel free to contact us directly and ask.

Dress Code: Beach Formal

For the gentlemen: A summer suit with a linen shirt (no ties required), linen pants or khakis, and sandals or loafers.

For the ladies: A formal summer sundress at tea- or knee-length with flat sandals. Makeup and hair can be natural and everyday.

Pants are acceptable for women to wear to beach weddings if they are dress pants. Linen pants would be nice for a beach theme wedding. A two piece coordinated pant suit is best.

Remember, the actual ceremony is on the beach, so be prepared for a little sand. The couple will be at the ceremony in bare feet, and guests are encouraged to do the same. We'll have a place to take off and store shoes during the ceremony. There will also be a place to brush off your feet before throwing your shoes or sandals back on.

Also, a note to the ladies: the reception is being held on a deck, so be careful of wearing shoes with small heels than can get wedged between the planks of the deck.

We're aiming for an elegant beach wedding. Not too casual - so dress to impress, but also dress for the elements (sun, sand, and water). Anything you'd wear to a nice restaurant on a summer day is appropriate.
