Wedding Events

We are excited to have planned an entire weekend of events to celebrate our wedding. We selected Ocean Beach for our wedding as we thought it would be a great balance between having a destination wedding, while still being easy to get to.

Everyone is invited to come out and join us for an entire weekend of events in Ocean Beach. In between these events, feel free to explore the many reasons we love Ocean Beach. Lounge chairs and umbrellas will be available for all guests, if you want to lounge around on the beach all day. Or take a walk around town, and visit some of the shops, restaurants, and bars that all are located within blocks of each other.

Here is what we have planned for the weekend:

Welcome Barbecue at the Sea Breeze
Friday, September 12, 2008, 5:00pm
On Friday evening, the Groom's parents will be hosting a barbecue at their rental house, the Sea Breeze. Dinner and drinks will be provided. Afterwards, the bold and adventurous guests are invited on a scenic tour of the many bars Ocean Beach has to offer.

Wedding Ceremony on the Beach
and Reception at the Island Mermaid

Saturday, September 13, 2008, 5:00pm
Starting in the late afternoon, the main event will get under way. Starting at 5:00pm, guests are invited to join us on the beach for our ceremony, where we will exchange vows oceanside. Immediately afterwards, the reception will begin at the Island Mermaid, located on the Great South Bay.

The Ocean Beach Ferry will be available for those who plan to head back to Long Island on Saturday night. The final ferry schedule for September has yet to be published, but will be posted here as soon as it is available.

For guests staying with us overnight, expect to hit the town after the reception.

Farewell Brunch at the Seasons Bed and Breakfast
Sunday, September 14, 2008, 11:00am
On Sunday morning, all guests are invited to join the newly married couple for a Farewell Brunch. The brunch will be held at the Seasons Bed and Breakfast (located next to the Sea Breeze). Ferries will be running throughout the day, so feel free to stay past the brunch, and enjoy the beach all day long.
